Awaiting Authorization from Discovery Medical Aid

My name is Rudeshni Perumal. I've been with Discovery Medical Aid since April 2025. I've been having a problem with my feet and consulted with Dr.E. Ismail at Lenmed Private Hospital on the 11 February 2026. He sent me for xrays,blood tests, which was at my expense as i have a Hospital Plan. The doctor discovered i need an operation on my left leg and feet. He sent me to Dr Chopdat,who is also at Lenmed for tests because i have High Blood Pressure. I saw Dr.Chopdat and everything was fine. Discovery does not want to authorize my surgery. This operation is very important as its affecting my daily life. I've been phoning, holding on forever and then getting cut off,senting emails, and getting no where. This isn't a major operation that Discovery must make me run around. It seems as if I'm begging. This is really unacceptable. Dr.E.Ismail already submitted all the documents related to my procedure to Discovery. I received a call from Dr.Ismails receptionist today, she phoned Discovery and was told they're waiting for a letter from Dr.Chopdat, who is not involved in any way,besides doing the necessary tests, regarding my High Blood Pressure. Please help me with this problem. Thank you
