AVOID MONEY-HUNGRY DISCOVERY HEALTH

I am livid. I am almost 7 months pregnant and this is my first time on medical aid. I had no idea that I had to register for maternity benefits. I only realised this yesterday. The Discovery consultant was very unhelpful and said they can't back date maternity benefit claims and my MSA can't be reimbursed. I feel very MISLED by Discovery! It is OBVIOUS that I am pregnant. I've been going to my gynaecologist many times for scans and blood work. Discovery kept quiet and shrewdly took the money out of my MSA instead of telling me that my maternity benefits aren't activated.

The excuse that maternity benefits can't be back dated is a total sham of an excuse. My chronic benefits were back dated months ago due to another incident.

I am UPSET. I am telling all of my family, friends and colleagues to AVOID Discovery.

They are ruthless and money hungry!!!!
