Authorisation - Brain Scan

I am extremely disgusted with this medical aid scheme so much that I am seriously considering other options.<br> <br> No one gets admitted to hospital unless they need extra medical care! How can then one possibly wait +/-12 hours for an authorisation for such an life threatening procedure, brain scan ? Discovery has no sense urgency nor care for people's lives, needless to say inconsiderate of the continuous damage that happens during the wait! <br> <br> They claim that our health and wellness are critical areas where they aim to add significant value and make a real difference our lives, but that has been proven otherwise during my stay at eNtabeni Hospital.<br> <br> Discovery is delaying the whole diagnosis process as my doctor will need the scan results to ensure that I get adequate and sufficient treatment, and I have to spend another day in hospital and discovery will in turn question that and they will not pay which will be quite unfair as the delay has been solely from their side. I have never defaulted in any of my payments and I hardly ever use the benefits of my medical aid as I am not a sickly person, I must say during these past two days I have not received full value for my money!!
