Authorisation

So much disappointment for such an expensive medical aid. My brother was admitted a month after joining this medical aid, after moving from another medical aid.

The medical aid said no waiting period, they informed us while in hospital that they can’t authorise the admission they need to do a history check which will take 7-8 working days. I find this really ridiculous because why would you deny authorisation while it was indicated that there’s no waiting period. A DEFINITE **** this medical aid. Disappointing. Having to wait for an authorisation while someone is suffering, all this should have been done before an emergency occurred.
