As usual the IT systems don't work.
As usual I've spent literally hours struggling with the buggy IT systems. (I speak as a former IT professional.) Both app and website. Trying to do something that should be simple. Change my Primary care GP. Very long story short.... I gave up and called.
Two very lengthy calls later chronic meds said they could bypass the systems and change my GP. Was taking a long time and I was running out of call minutes, so they said they'd complete it and I'd get an email. I received 2 mails confirming I'd agreed to sharing my medical data, but with no indication of whether I still had to sign and send them somewhere. The app continues to showy my previous GP and while I can nominate my new GP and (unlike previously) this time get to a not greyed "confirm", the result is "Nomination error We couldn’t process your nomination. Please call us on ***to get help.". REALLY? ! I CANNOT go through that again!
We’ve noted your concerns and we’re investigating the matter. We’ll contact you with feedback as soon as possible.

25 hours ago. Seems I could be talking to Discovery's bot.

I asked that I receive emailed confirmation of that call. Some hours later I received that. From "executiveofficekzn". (KZN?) The problem has now been "escalated to the Systems Department", with "feedback within three to five working days". Time that I don't have. (Although I was verbally told that "escalated" might improve that.) I need to get chronic meds! I shall now have to make my GP appointment without a Primary care GP, presumably not getting a lower consultation fee. I'll then have to try and get that changed by Discovery. (From past experience, not easy. Discovery once emailed me to say I didn't have a Primary care GP. Despite the email text clearly stating who that was!)
