Arrogant Discovery

My wife and I have belonged to Discovery Health for over 20 years. The scheme that we belong to is Classic Core, and our monthly contribution is over R4000.00. Over the past 20 years we basically have never claimed, and my wife has only been in hospital for one evening. We were always of the opinion that Discovery encouraged / promoted and paid for check up's and screenings for early detection in regards the various cancers / life threatening diseases. On the 19/06/2019 I scheduled a consultation with a urologist who performed a digital examination for prostrate cancer. The result of the test was that my prostrate was healthy and the urologist thanked me for being responsible in consulting him and for undertaking a very evasive test. The bottom line is that Discovery health refused to pay for the consultation, and informed me telephonically that they do not consider a digital examination a test ??????? This is simply unbelievable and just plain arrogance.
