Arrogant Discovery
Discovery Health is claiming R928 from me for claims they paid and now want to "claw back". Some of these claims date back to 2016!!! Their demeanour is arrogant and they sent me two e-mails and an SMS within a few minutes. They also instruct me to call them to make payment arrangements. If they made the mistake, then why should I call them? They constantly have excuses why they can not pay claims or award activity points and then they leave the impression that it is my fault they overpaid. Not the way you treat someone who has been a client for more than 20 years!!

23 Jul 2020, 13:24Yes, I did receive an answer. But unfortunately it is incomplete. Discovery is now trying to blame the service provider for claiming the same "code" more than once. They do, however, fail to notice that the code is app**** to different parts of the body. They are reluctant or unable to understand the scope of treatment and conveniently hide behind "codes".
They remain arrogant and keep reminding me that I owe them (for their mistakes). They also remind me that the amount will be deducted from future payments owed to me. They assume the position of judge, jury and executioner ...... very convenient!
Finally, how can I trust a company who can not even make the effort to spell the service provider's name correctly!
