Application of National Credit act
I left Discovery health in November 2014 when I changed jobs.
Got a call that I owe money from the savings account. It was difficult for me to understand and I requested for written communication so that I can understand where this came from. That was done and I received a letter in January 2015.

Late January 2015 or February 2015. I received an SMS reminding me that I need to pay discovery the outstanding amount no further communication was received. February 2015 Discovery listed me as a defaulter with Transunion.

The National Credit Act section 72 of the rights of the consumer states that. The consumer (me) has the right to be informed by the Creditor (Discovery) of any adverse information BEFORE it passes it to the Credit bereau. This was not done and for this reason I will be launchng a challenge with Transunion, so get the records ready or simply remove the adverse information..

Lastly, to you who will be reading this. Ive been your member since 2002 till 2014. If really that means anything. Informing me of a debt in writting in January and listing me tith ITC 30 days later is that fair?

NOTE The outstanding amount has already been paid.
