Appalling Service

I am writing this as a disgruntled customer left with a bitter taste in my mouth with Discovery staff incompetence. I really wish the company took their customers seriously and attended to every complaint. The company triple debited my account on 02/03/2020, apparently there was a mistake and it was rectified and the 2 months premium that was erroneously debited was going to be paid back to my account, this was on the 2nd of the month after I visited their offices in Sandton. A week later on the 9th I call the company and spent an hour on the phone just to be told the refund was approved and the money should reflect back in my account within 2 to 3 working days. On the 13th it had been 3 working days and I was still waiting, spoke to a lady by the name of Liezl Heynes who was really helpful, asked me to forward my ID and proof of bank account (no idea why because the company could have simply reversed the money to the account they had debited). Called back the call center on the 17th to follow up on the refund, spent more than an hour on the phone just to be told they could not help me as the money was released on their side and should reflect on my account soon. On the 20th as there were still no funds from Discovery I call back and not exaggerating when I say the call lasted 1h17min. After insisting to speak to management I eventually spoke to a lady by the name of Babalwa who was really helpful and made all sorts of promises. She promised the funds were released and the fact that it was FNB to FNB the funds would reflect the same day. As I am writing this, its the 22nd and needless to say that Im still waiting. I have never in my life experienced such appalling service, more especially from a company that I pay thousands of rands each month. Anyone reading this post please suggest a better medical aid that offer better service as I don’t want anything to do with these guys anymore. In all, it has taken more than 4 hours on the phone trying to resolve this, this is my airtime that will never be replaced and no one ever calls you back.
