Appalling, poor service and unwilling to help

<p>An application to add dependent on my medical aid was submitted with Discovery as I wanted to add my brothers son who is 6 years old as his father recently passed away. The child was on his father medical aid now he became my dependent as his father is not married and child mother was never involved on child being as she left the child with mother and his father since he was 3 months old. The child has been with my mother and my late brother since he was born as we don’t know where her mother is. Now the child is under the care of my mother who is grandmother to child and she is a pensioner and also depends on my financial. Which means both them are financially depends on me, now my medical that I have joined in 2006 is refusing to add the child on my medical because I’m not legal guardian. My employer won’t be contributing nothing on this additional request as the full premium will be coming from my pocket and this doesn’t have any impact to Discovery beside the fact that they will be make more money as usual.</p>
