Annual Increase

November is here and as usual we will receive our yearly notice/newsletter, whatever you want to call it from Discovery Health. And as per usual without notice, because guess what, our medical aid is going up with another 10%...why is this normal? Why do we except this as normal? Why must we just comply without any questions? I am a (middle-class) and yes I will put in brackets as we are two working adults with a child but not close to being well-off...to put it like that. We DO NOT receive annual increases. Yes read my 'lips', we work like any other South African for companies that do not give annual increases...surprised, well this is actually a bigger reality and the reality that we need to pay all annual increases from day-care, to rent, to 'shopping prices' and all other price increases. I would have liked Discovery Health to actually communicate with their paying clients to discus options when it comes to paying...instead of just expecting us to pay more. What about an option that will suit me. Your client that needs medical aid, wants medical aid... The hole world is abusing our cash flow and it just seems unfair that even our medical suppliers just wants their money, so sad
