Adverse consumer information breach
I was a discovery member number ***, after leaving Discovery for incompetence there was an outstading billing of R116.11, DIscovery went and listed my name as a default payee on Transunion without any communication to me, no email & no call to alert or request for a payment from me. I only find out today wehen checking my profile on mytraunion. If I had not checked I would have known that I was listed as a default payee. I called Discovery and Nolwandiso claimed to be the manage, I sked for proof of correspondence and I was read back an address I have never heard of, not only that but I requested for proof of email that was sent to me on 22 May 2015 as per remarks and only received a demand email for the first time. A Jean-Pierre the endorsed that he/she spoke to me or called which never happened. So basically someone got lazy to contact me for this amount and decided to get my name dragged in the mud for R116.11. I would like to settle this amount but want my name removed first, I demand a letter of apology or I will proceed with legal research and action. The listing without my knowledge means I cannot get a car or house
Thank you for your comment.
The Medical Savings Account (MSA) is a fixed amount that Discovery Health gives you at the beginning of the year for day-to-day medical expenses. You pay this amount back to us in 12 equal monthly instalments but, if necessary, you are free to use the whole amount at the beginning of the year to pay for valid medical expenses. The 12 instalments form part of your monthly contribution.
If you leave the Discovery Health Medical Scheme part-way through the year, we calculate how much of the MSA you have used and how much you have contributed to it. If you have used more from the account than what you have paid into the account, then you will need to pay the difference to us.
We tried to contact you regarding the amount owed however was unable to get hold of you. We spoke to your employer and asked them to advise you to call our call center so that we may discuss this with you. Once we receive the proof of payment we will send a notification through in order to remove the listing.
Regards
