ADHD not covered under Chronic benefit with Discovery

<p>I have been told by my medical practitioner that ADHD is a chronic condition and have confirmed that this is covered under certain medical aids. i called Discovery to request that my medication be added to my membership to be covered as a chronic medication. The response which i received is that there is no way for me to apply for it to be added as a chronic condition and the reason which they do not cover it is because it is not required to be covered by law. The law gives the minimum guidelines as to what is required to be covered, and many medical practitioners and medical aids have acknowledged that ADHD in children and adults is a chronic condition. I am very disappointed to hear that discovery is only interesting in covering the bare minimum as law says. So much for their customers needs...</p>
