ADHD medication not covered

I find it shocking that in today's day and age that there is no chronic cover for ADHD medication if it is such a difficult condition to live with. I was diagnosed at 28 years old and my life is barely livable - it's not just a "can't sit still" condition that affects young boys.

My memory and focus is out the window, low frustration tolerance, clumsiness, depression and anxiett associated with it the list goes on.

Somehow Discovery justifies to not help its members with paying for VERY expensive medication ranging from R700 for the GENERIC and UP. So you end up paying R2000 plus for your medical aid per month, but spending almost half that just on meds to not want to kill myself daily.

I find it DISGUSTING that there is no cover for any of this on chronic.

**Note to others looking into Discovery:

If you or your child has ADHD, keep this in mind when choosing a medical aid. It is not covered at all.
