Absolutely Disgusted by Discovery Health!!!

So my kid was in for a Tonsillectomy and Adenoidectomy, I did my research and the standard rate for this at Private hospitals is between R10 000 and R13 000. I’m writing this with disbelief and utter disgust, that Discovery Health said they’ll only pay me R2000 after I paid the doctor R8300, saying that that’s their “standard rate” for these procedures? I don’t understand and I will definitely be exploring other Medical aid schemes, because this one is a ****!
