Above Threshold Benefits - Not worth it!

I took my 15 month old baby for his inoculations on Saturday, 4 July 2015. On Monday, 6 July 2015 I sent my claim to [Email Removed] for a refund (as I have always done). I sent my claim again on the 15th of July, and again on the 24th of July, and again on the 7th of August. The call centre agents just keep telling me that the claim doesn't reflect on their system. Eventually Discovery paid out R99.50 on a R1,240.00 claim!!! My medical savings is depleted, I have already paid R8,880.00 towards our self payment gap and now that I am in the ABOVE THRESHOLD BENEFITS R99.50 is all I get. In the interim, Discovery has rejected a claim of R375.43 for a physiothe****** my husband saw. I again have an appointment this month for my son's 18 month inoculations, doubt I'll get refunded.... We pay exorbitant amounts every month towards our medical and then have to put up with these lame so-called benefits.

Thank you for your comment

As discussed vaccinations, inoculations and immunisations (schedule 0-2 and above) are classified as over the counter medicine. On your plan type, over the counter medicine is not funded from the Above Threshold Benefit (ATB). Once I receive more information I will be able to confirm further funding.

The claim for your husband is being processed and I will be in contact with feedback.
