A victim of Discovery's exploitation

I am extremely dissatisfied with Discovery Medical aid Scheme. Although i think the word scheme aptly provides the negative connatations that should accompany a medical aid business, as it's internal rules n small prints exploit the sick and "scheme" individuals out of their right to proper healtcare. I guess this is in an attempt to create recurring business at the cost of our lives.

I have been a loyal customer of Discovery for over 14 years, although now i should rather identify as a Discovery medical aid victim of 14 years. The copany refuses to provide me with correct medication and force doctors to prescribe substitutes n generics ro patients. I have been such a victim, during a recent consultation i was given medication because it was the only type covered by the medical aid but after a second opinon it was discovered that this particular type of medication is extremely detrimental to a female with specific conditions. Upon querying what should be the correct medication i informed the medical aid, and was refused this brand of medication. I guess it's of no benefit to Discovery if i get better or if they actually provide proper resources for positive healthcare.

I am encountering traumatic side effects and because this is medication that is a necessity, i am stuck between a hard place and a coffin.

I have requested discovery to pay the same amount of money toward the correct brand of medication and i offered to cover the co payment but they flat out refused and treat me with cold contempt. I am a widow and Discovery exploits me daily by refusing to help me even though i have paid for these services for 14 years.

DISCOVERY dont **** me, let me get better so you can exploit me for another 14 years, dont you realise that it make better business sense to have clients that are not sick all the time...dont let the *** that gives you milk die!!!!
