Discovery have carried an attitude of either not paying at all or paying just a portion. eg I had a one hour consultation with my Neurologist which, with tests, came to R1,550.00 Discovery paid R480.00. I have Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyneuropathy which simply put means my Immune System is attacking my nerves and the medication I take is very expensive and I will be on them for life but apparently this is, according to Discovery \Not Chronic"and therefore it is not chronic medication.<br> We have now reached our Above Threshold Monies but we are now told we cannot use any of it for medicines.
