8 months pregnant with such shocking service!!

Shocking service from Discovery!!! Especially at 8 months pregnant. I have done a lot of crying in what should be a happy time!! When looking for a gynae, there were none close to me on the list and the one's that were had **** reviews, any mom to be wants the best doctor to deliver her baby...so pushed into a corner and based on reviews and referrals, i had to go to a doctor that charged 300% and you have to pay and claim back. I have been with Discovery for 7 years, never claimed for anything massive, most of the time on a top plan and for the last 2 or 3 years on a lower plan but still costing me over R6000 a month, plus i have gap cover of R440 pm, so you would think i would be covered.....right ? so wrong!!! my first 7 months they didn't even pay half the consultations. At 38 i am a high risk pregnancy, they wouldn't pay for the blood tests to do the screening for down syndrome, which you need to prove in order to go for the NIPT test (that they paid for ???) so because they paid nothing, i also couldn't claim from my Gap cover. Most recently i went for the 32 week anatomy scan R1860 later, they paid R447 How ????? why ??? i even got the doctor to write a motivational letter saying, i'm high risk and it needs to be done, they couldn't give a ****, said they only pay for 2 ultrasounds, the rest must come out of your savings, if your savings are depleted sorry for you.....you must pay plus because they paid nothing i cannot clam from Gap cover, so on top of R6440 i pay to be covered i have to pay the 1400 difference. This week the gynae was 2700 and in the last month its R1560 per week which i doubt Discovery will pay anything, so i question why i even have medical aid ???? you are not supporting or helping me. Today i was on hold for so long i ran out of airtime, i tried emailing, i get told i will get feedback in 2-3 days its been 8 days and i had to phone today to find out even with the Doctors letter you won't pay!! Ethically i think Discovery is so wrong, you know a woman is pregnant for 9 months, you know the stress and cost of having a baby and yet you make it worse for us. I think you spend most of your time figuring out how you can get out of paying than caring about the people!!! The people that keep you going!! With all the negative reviews i would think you would be making changes but doesn't seem you are, really really disgusting!!
