*** Waiting period

When I app**** for the discovery medical aid I was not advised of any waiting periods or I would not have agreed to taking the medical aid. Only when I disclose my status then there is a waiting period . As much as I am not a sickly person and I am getting my medication at the clinic , I do not think this waiting period is appropriate as one year is a very long time while paying for the medical aid. WHAT IS THE USE OF HAVING THE MEDICAL AID AND PAYING FOR IT IF YOU CANNOT USE IT , ESPECIALLY WITH MY CONDITION . What irritate me the most is that I was not advise of any waiting when applying, I was told I need to call within 7 days to register on the HIV plan of which I did . now all of a sudden there is a one year waiting period . I was misled in every way when I app**** , If such is app**** then I will cancel this medical aid as it will be no use to me. Medical aid number <br>
