3 month waiting period

I Just rejoined Discovery and had a 3 month break in between medical aids.

They have imposed a 3 month waiting period. This I do understand that I could have had an health issue in the 3 month period (without Medical aid) that I am moving over to discovery...

This is their statement to justify paying 3 months with no cover. I understand this.

But why would they not cover a vehicle accident, after 2 months, It was a serious accident and I had to go and do all the relevant scans and xrays.

if I did not go and get he scans done and numerous xrays, I could have been in a worse off situation after the three months if I used the medical aid. I am sorry but you cannot simply just impose a waiting period and play with the words. everyone I spoke to said that they feel the same as I do.

It does not stipulate accidental emergencies... or state all emergencies...

"We can confirm that you Debit Order have a 3 month General Waiting Period, whilst you are in your Waiting Period, you have no access to any cover including emergencies."
