1 Discovery Pl booster vaccination

The booster vaccination process at 1 Discovery Place, Sandton is diabolical. On 27 February 2022 I received a text message to the effect that I was due for a Covid 19 booster and that I was to "go to any vaccination site". On 9 March 2022 at 14H30 I attended at 1 Discovery Place and was denied access to the building on the basis that they were only attending to persons who had made an appointment. There has been no communication from Discovery in this regard. Other people waiting complained that they had been unable to make an appointment on the website. The site manager (Thabo) explained that the text message was from government and not from Discovery; he said that he was faced with the same problem daily; that he only had five vaccinators and that they would be closing at 15H00. This is not explained or communicated by Discovery. Other persons at the same entrance were turned away. There is clearly a disconnect in the communication from government and Discovery with government taking the lead in service delivery. As a member of Discovery for more than 20 years I expect more - bad, bad service
