Perfect Experience with only 5 minutes of extra research.

Because of mixed reviews, I did a little simple research before choosing to use Discovercars. This was our first time renting a car in a foreign country. Costa Rica law requires TPL coverage to be purchased. Many of the rental companies do not include this cost upfront leaving the customer feel they were price gouged or taken advantage of. We rented from Adobe which is a Costa Rican company. They may seem more expensive at a glance, but that is because they include law required ins. fees in their total leaving no surprises. For us, going with an American brand like Avis or Hertz felt more comfortable as they are fami**** (and their cars appear much less as they do not include required fees in their listed price) so I simply called Adobe car rental, told them I found a car for less than their website on Discover carsand asked if it was a trusted site. They said yes, it is a company they partner with and if the car is cheaper there, rent it through them. That is what I did, and everything was perfect, easy, cost exactly what we were told it would cost. I would use Discovercars again.
