Overall excellent, but 40 euros for late pick-up?

It would be 5 Stars, but we only found out about the office hours the day before we flew and ended up paying a hefty 40 euro surcharge for late pick-up. Credit to Hector, his communication was responsive and reassuring when we informed him of our delay. Even he seemed embarrassed by the extra charge when we completed the paperwork. It's still better than not being able to pick up the car on arrival, but surely an Airport car hire business should cover all arrivals as standard?

The agent on arrival was as helpful as possible. The agent on departure even dropped us back on departures. We've never had this service before from any hire company we've used.

Of our many trips during our ten-day hire Lake Kournos was probably the most surprising. Our expectations weren't that high, but I'm glad our curiosity made us take a drive there. A wonderful fresh-water lake, lovely Taverna, friendly gift shop and great value Pedalos to hire.
