Booked a rental through DiscoverCars

Booked a rental through DiscoverCars.com via Kayak with a confirmed total of $340.63 ($268.96 upfront, $71.67 due at pickup). At the counter, I was forced to pay an additional $236.18 in undisclosed fees just to get the car. This was never included in the total price shown during booking. That’s misleading and feels like classic “drip pricing.” I had my disabled younger sister with me and we were stuck waiting over an hour while I tried to sort it out. In the end, I had no choice but to pay significantly more than agreed. This experience caused unnecessary stress and financial harm. Be very careful when booking through this platform. The advertised total price may not reflect what you’ll actually pay at pickup.
