Breach of Contract & Passing the Buck-NO DELIVERY

I bought a matching coffee table and TV stand at this supplier in August, the goods were on display but not in stock .I was promised they will be available by end of September and was given a full price amount including delivery costs which I gladly paid for. Come end of September I went to the store only to be told the goods were on a ship somewhere, End of October same story but I patiently waited. ON November 30 I called the store and Witness confirmed the goods had arrived and wold be delivered the next day. On Dec 1st I called the store to find out what time they will be delivering and I was given the around by three different people, Eventually a lady called and said the price had gone up because of the shipping costs and I had to pay the difference before they can deliver. I told her to ask her manager to call me. The manager Glen called and said the same story and that other customers had agreed to pay the difference. He claims the sales person at the time who has since resigned was wrong to have given me the amount he gave me. He said I either pay the difference or I will not be able to get the goods I paid for.
