Bought 3 piece recliner leather couches and start to crack within a year from date of purchase

I bought 3 piece recliner leather couches at Discount Decor. Within a year, they start to crack. I informed them and said they will come and collect the couches. I took a day of on the day, I called them because it becoming late and I was informed that the person who's assisting me(Babalwa from customer care admin) is off on the day of collection. I got irritated more that she's not competent. Eventually they sent someone to collect.

After a week, I got a response from the supplier saying that chemical/products were used that is why they are damaged. I called the supplier(Calgan Lounge) to find out if the part that is cracking is leather and Malverine confirmed that it's not leather. I was never informed when I purchased that there is an area on the couch that touches the body which is not leather. I was misled and now they trying to come up with excuses that chemical/products were in used. The couches were still new, I had no reason to use anything on them.
