Wrongfully directed

I received a call from Direct Axis congratulating me on my excellent management of account and to offer me an extension on my loan. Settlement and extension. After all confirmation was done and the loan amount suggested and confirmed, which is the same amount I'm currently paying, I was told that I must just send a copy of my ID and proof of adress. The agent said he would mail me his details. After half an hour passed and I received no mail, I phoned them to understand reasoning for the delay. I was told then that I cannot afford any loan from them and that I must apply in six months time. I was not even the one phoning them offering or requesting the loan. In this case I was misled and misdirected in them doing a credit check on my name on their offer and find this to be totally unaceptable and a waste of my time and money.
