I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding an ongoing issue with my account. I have paid up and settled my debt with Direct Axis through MBD, and I have received a paid-up letter confirming this. Despite this, I continue to experience harassment from other debt recovery companies that claim to have obtained my information from Direct Axis.

This continued harassment is unacceptable. I have not consented to the selling or re-selling of my personal data, and your actions are in direct violation of the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). I request that you immediately update your records to reflect the settlement of my debt and cease the circulation of my personal information to any third parties.

Please stop this unwarranted distribution of my data and ensure that I am no longer contacted by any debt recovery companies. Failure to do so will leave me no choice but to escalate this matter to the relevant regulatory authorities.

I expect prompt action on this matter and a confirmation that my request has been fulfilled.
