Truly ********* – Direct Axis

I am extremely disappointed and disgusted by the way Direct Axis are treating me. My Account went into 4months areas in 2014 to which I was in consultation with them about as I was unemployed. DirectAxis refused to freeze my account, reduce the premiums nothing, they were unhelpful and just continued to debit my account knowing very well there are no funds in those 4 months, I had continuously pleaded with them to please freeze my account until I start working again, they said there is nothing they can do to assist me and that they can’t stop the debit or reduce the amount. In the 5th month I started working and immediately set up a payment arrangement, this was to pay back the 4 months that were in arrears. A year later I receive a call saying that my account is in major arrears and that my account will be handed over, to which I was surprised because all the premiums were going off on time so I called their account team, it was found that the payment arrangement that was made was being made to the premium account and not the arrear amount that had accumulated, meaning the arrear amount had still not being paid. The money was then redirected to the arrear amount, however the arrear amount had accumulated interest.

I have never ever had any failed premiums on my account besides the 4 premiums that had initial failed in the begin of the contact in 2014, both the premium and the arrangements premium for the arrears all was going off correctly and successfully for the last 2years to date and then all of a sudden I receive an sms saying my account has been handed over to Sigma. And then a Sigma consultant calls me demanding that I pay the full amount up front, and that I either do that or take a 3month or 6month payment plan. How can you hand over this account if i was paying on time and following all your instruction accordingly. In the last 4years the only debits that failed were the 4 debits due to being unemployed at that time, which I has set up an arrangement with you and you just go and hand me over. Truly ********* behaviour.

I then called and spoke to Trace-Lee in the account department at Direct Axis, she confirmed that there is nothing she can do to assist me and that I must speak to Sigma going forward. I called Direct Axis back today 2017/03/29 at around 01:20pm to request for a statement and to find out why I have never received a statement from day 1, the consultant in their account division rudely, responded and said she cannot assist me call Sigma their legal team. Truly unbelievable.

Questions

1. Detailed full Statement which included all payments made to date. Also explain why this has never been sent to be from start of contract?

2. What is the start date and end date of my contract?

3. Why was my Account handed forward without my consultation. There was no phone call to inform him that my account is being handed forward?

4. What is the cost or add on charge for the account being handed forward?

5. Why do you treat people who are willing and paying their account badly?

I received great service from Dane who is a Team Leader/Manager at DirectAxis. He contacted me back and confirmed that the hand over to Sigma was done in error and he apologised, He has since assisted me with all my other requests like my statements which I had never received since start of contract and my contract which is the voice recording, I’m still waiting for this though.

Thank you Dane for all your help, your professionalism and understanding by putting yourself in others shoes will carry you a long way in the customer care environment you operate in. Cheers
