Terrible Service
I have had a loan with DirectAxis which was paid every month until Lockdown - I requested a payment break which they did not grant although I did not earn any money in this period. However, somebody from their legal department contacted me at the beginning of 2021 and asked to reinstate the debit order which I agreed to, I told them I only get paid on the last day of the month so they suggested the debit order be put through on the 9th of the month. They requested the amount of R1800.00 which I agreed to and the debit order has been coming off my account as agreed. I now find out that my credit record is in fact being negatively impacted by this account - showing missed payments since March 2021 which is a blatant lie! I have been paying what was asked of me every month and did not know there was a problem. After contacting Direct Axis I was informed that since I was not paying much more than the original installment the arrears were not being reduced, therefore my account shows as missed payments. I was not aware that I had to pay more than what was asked of me. This situation is totally unacceptable, if they had done their job correctly and asked for more money I would gladly have given more to ensure my credit record stays intact - nobody from MBD or Direct Axis has contacted me regarding this and until I went into my bank I was unaware of the impact this was having on my record. This type of service is disgusting. The arrears have been paid in full and it has taken a month for this to reflect on my credit report - yet the missed payments are still showing which is negatively affecting my credit. I have asked them to adjust this as I was paying every month and my account is paid up-to-date yet they do nothing, except pass you from pillar to post and eventually still do nothing to assist you. Not a company I would recommend.
