still in dispute with the balance

Direct Axis came up with the new balance of 14680.49 dated 11/01/2018 which simply means the amount paid to Vericred and the last payment of 3000 made to Vertex solutions was not included. they say they are also charging me 5143 interest due to the then debt review i took in 2014 ( i did not proceed with any debt review i cancelled it myself) hence am wondering why they are the ones to charge me. Johan Van der Merwe says i can pay the 14680.49 with Vertex again whereas my account was said to be closed with Vertex. I tried calling him but they said he is out of office whereas i have spoken to him 5 minutes ago. email correspondance and new balance statement available.
