Reel you in then ghost you!

Am I the only one struggling to get communication out of the Sanlam / Direct Axis team?

I am continuously reaching out to enquire re my statement and term of payment (considering I made a large additional paymnent ) and NO ONE is responding.

Can anyone assist with how I can reach someone who can actually help?

Ironic - I haven't yet received a call from DirectAxis to sort out this matter NOR an email ... YET I HAVE RECEIVED A CALL TO OFFER ME ANOTHER LOAN.

On the 20th December I finally received a response from DirectAxis re that I would receive a statement from them.
I did a day later, but my initial query was still not answered:

If my loan term was 42 months, and I made a large deposit towards my loan, why does it not amend the loan term ito months left to pay. Surely that should make sense as the amount would have been reduced. It was my understanding when I made the query before I made the payment that it would reduce the term and not the monthly instalment.

The response I received from DirectAxis in email:
"The original term of the loan is 42 months, and remaining term is 32 months, this cannot be restructured as it is part of your contact. Extra payments are allowed, we credit each payment made under the Agreement as follows: (1) interest, then (2) any fees or charges, and then (3) the loan amount. Making extra payments towards loan reduces the loan balance, therefore will mean that you may possibly pay your loan in full before the remaining loan term."

So I have no problem re how they use the additional funds towards my loan - BUT the problem I have is that if my amount is reduced by me trying to look after my account HOW can they then hold me ransom with A) not reducing my loan instalment amount and B) not reducing my term to accommodate the new amount owing.

I have read numerous complaints where customers have paid their amount owed but are still having funds deducted, and this is exactly my concern. That once they have our signature and go ahead then it's a free for all for DirectAxis.
