Overpaying

My husband had a Directaxis loan. Nedbank consolidated the loan on the 26th of April. The debit order went af on the 1st of May. After sending several emails we contacted them on the 30th of May. We were told that they did not receive instruction to close the account. ***. The account was paid up, the bank sent a letter to proof the payment. We are not getting the right answers. On the 1st of June another debit went of. Why? They owe US money. We reversed the debit with the bank. We need this account to be closed and the money we overpaid to be refunded ASAP. This is very annoying. We have been dealing with DAxis for over 20 years and this is the first time we have struggled like this.

Hello Chantell, Thank you for reaching out to us. Apologies for the inconvenience caused in the process of trying to get your account closed.   Thank you for your settlement payment.  When requesting to have your account settled, a settlement amount is calculated and emailed to you.  Upon receiving your settlement payment, the account is prepared for closure.  The closure process takes up to 10 business days for the account to be closed and a paid up letter is then drafted and sent to you. If you have not requested the settlement quotation this process will have to be logged manually and can take up more time.  We’d be happy to assist. You are required to send us the proof of payment as it is a banking requirement.  In terms of the proof of residence, the document can either be a utility bill or an account statement not affiliated to FNB and not older than 3 months.  A copy of your ID, if you’re making use of the smart card you are required to send a copy of the front and back.  You may email all of the above documentation to *** so that we can pass it onto our support team to speed up the process. Team DirectAxis

Best regards,
