MBD harassing me about DirectAxis debt that was settled by insurance after retrenchment

In 2019 I was still busy paying off a personal loan when I got informed that I'm going to be retrenched at the end of 2019. When taking out a personal loan you sign up for insurance as well. That's when I contacted the insurance and DirectAxis and provided them with proof of retrenchment. The insurance then agreed to settle the outstanding debt. All this time I didn't worry about the debt anymore because it was settled by the insurance that covers the outstanding debt after retrenchment. Now since two months ago a so-called MBD is harassing me about my 2019 DirectAxis loan saying I owe R19000 and after numerous requests I failed to pay (never received any of those numerous requests they are talking about). They are even harassing me at work now about my DirectAxis loan debt. When I asked who MBD is they just said they will terminate the call. I e-mail and called DirectAxis to query this with no help from them or any response about what is going on. I realized that it is even on my credit record giving me bad credit. I am absolutely furious because I am under the impression for almost three years now that it was settled. When I called DirectAxis after no response to my e-mail, the lady on the phone couldn't help me. I want this sorted and out of my life, especially MBD (whoever these harassers are).
