Disappointed

Good morning I'm very frustrated the way sanlam/direct axis are treating me I made the payment on the 11/06/2021 amount of R29983.00 nd I did the follow-up to see if payment us reflecting and also asked for the debit order to be cancelled reason being I didnt want my account to be debited and when I called on Friday 18/06/2021 I was told by Shafieka that I must send an e mail with the proof of payment ofwhich I was told the payment does reflect on my account and I was also promised by shafieka that my account wont be debited ans and she assured me and to my surprised they tried to debit my account same day and there was no funds ofwhich I must be liable of that and on the 20/06/2021 I wad debited with the amount of R1169.67 and this us really frustrating their service is pathetic and also when I called I can hear that I've been transferred to the dead line .and I need this to be resolved as im getting tired of been on the phone from this morning and last person I spoke to was Kaylin promising to assist and the call was just dead. regards Mandy

Hello Mandy,  Thank you for reaching out to us.  Thank you for your details and settlement payment. When requesting to have your account settled, a settlement letter is drafted, after receiving your funds, the account automatically goes into a closure process.  The closure process takes up to 10 business days for the account to be closed and a paid up letter is then drafted and sent to you. If you have not requested the settlement quotation this process will have to be logged manually and can take up more time.  You are required to send us the proof of payment as it is a banking requirement. Once this is received we will be able to request our team to speed up the closure process. You’re welcome to send it to ***.  Team DirectAxis
