DIRECTAXIS not INTERESTED IN NEW LOAN APPLICATIONS (In My Opinion)

So I have to preface this with saying that I have had, as far as I can recall that it was via DirectAxis, two different SANLAM Loans (one for a work trip around 10 years ago and then for a car when ours conked out. The loans were easy (process wise) and during Covid either entity that I spoke to, assuming the SANLAM side, was very understanding with shifting payments due to everyone struggling to pay debt during that period.

NOW - getting to today's issue...

I have been trying since last week to get a hold of them, via the call centre number online, via their website's 'apply now option' and signing into PULSE and trying from there.

The website just hangs... The number rings and fails.... The moment you enter your details on their site, it just sits there. Our internet is FAST and I have no issues on my PC, including cleaning the browser cookies and making sure I have the latest PC updates - so it's not on my end. I even tried from my wife's PC.

They MUST have received my details from their site, even though it just hangs and doesn't go over to the next page, as TODAY I received what I like to call 'Hit and run calls', i.e. my number rings once or twice and then the call gets dropped. When I finally got to pick one up, the automated voice on the other end says 'Hold for an important call' over and over again and then it just hangs, with no-one picking up on the other side - this continues for a while....

It's almost as if they don't want to help..

NOW MY SITUATION - I have been trying to look into a DEBT CONSOLIDATION LOAN, as my position in my company has changed and my salary increased AND this had myself and the wife chat about teaming up to start killing some of my debt - A Consolidation Loan was advised by a friend. I have since been trying to get information (such as will both my wife and my income make an impact as we are both trying to settle the loan, even if it would be in my name etc..) and try an application - but to no avail.

If this is the way they deal with new apllicants/applications, I just wouldn't waste my time and move on...

I am still in the market for a Debt Consolidation Loan and will continue looking around, but I am dissapointed in DirectAxis, as my first Sanlam Loan was quick and painless.. This attempt has been terrible!
