DirectAxis Inflates Interest with DebtReview Clients then when the account is Paid up they hand the customer over to HP Attorneys and claim the account has an outstanding balance?
I went into Debt Review in 2015, it was me taking ownership and responsibility for by debt. 7 years later I am needing to get the paid up letters, calling DirectAxis on the various numbers, only to be told my profile does not exist? How is this possible? Spent a day calling call centre after call centre, getting the run around and sending emails and ever response I get is that my email is being forwarded to another department. You would think this company has so much money that their staff know what they are doing. Clearly they are only driving sales and their bad book just gets passed on the dirt yard, not their problem anymore. In 2015 the debt was R27211.13 in 2017 with all the interest this account had doubled and they wrote off R28155.26 leaving a balance of R24550.25. It shows on TransUnion that I had paid Direct Axis a Total of R40625 which was the Capital Balance. It also shows on Transunion that this account is paid in full and is in fact closed. I started calling DirectAxis last week to get a Paid Up letter and I also emailed them. This week on the 23rd of February 2023, I start getting phone calls from HP Attorneys claiming that I owe this account +-R700 and they last received a payment from me in Oct 2022. which was in fact the final payment I made to this account.
I sent HP Attorneys the Distribution statements and the TransUnion report and their response was:
Good day Mrs Langford
Thank you for the email.
Kindly note we received the account on the 23rd February 2023.
We request that you follow up with Direct Axis on your paid up letter as according to them, account still have outstanding balance.
Furthermore be advised that if there was default in payments, account was then terminated from debt review which accumulated interests.
Kind Regards,

I sent Collections@ directaxis.co.za an email with a copy of my ID and the account details requesting a paid up letter. Then another person by the name of Lerato forwards my email to *** and asking for them to kindly assist with the request. This was all find until I get a call from HP Attorneys telling me a different story.
Can you just imagine how shocked I am with this poor service. First getting the run around from one call centre agent to another. then my call being dropped whilst holding on, not once or twice but 4 times and then being told wrong department. Clearly these departments in DirectAxis do not communicate with one another. Poorly trained as they do not know which department deals with which issues.
I am so frustrated as my journey to being debt free has hit a rock. These people are so quick to give you a loan but when you are of no value to them, one is discarded to the dirt yard. They are in business through people like us making loans and we all helped them build their business.
