Directaxis - Faceless heartless business

Directaxis sent me a settlement letter on 29 Nov 2018 to settle my loan amount by 04 December 2018. I settled the full amount in 3 payments due to the R100 000-00 per day limitation personal bank limitation. Last payment was made on 03 December and reflected on their statement and was 100% done before the cut off of 04 December. When asked what will happen to the R4288-78 that would be deducted on my debit order; I was told to call in and they would reverse the amount within 5 business days. I complained by mail as they where not answering calls within 5 minutes.

On 05 Dec in response to my mail; Nomtha called me and confirmed they would reverse and refund within 5 working days. She apologized for poor service. On 06 Dec DirectAxis (No name no person no number) confirmed by email that refund will take place within 5 business days.

A day later I get a mail to say thank you for your settlement, but you need to cancel a bond and that will be an additional R4000-00 in lawyer fees. Nothing was mentioned in my cancellation letter and when i asked the Adrea on 29 November if there was any cancellation fees or other costs she put me on hold and confirmed all is good no extra fees. Just the settlement on the letter. I will pay the fees; I just feel that better communication should have been made in the first place.

I followed up with them using the original chain mails on . Eventually on 18 December 2018 they apologised and confirm that they will refund me. The money lands in my account on 21 December 2018 and yes it was R766.93 short. No warning; no calls, no letter to say they are holding back more money. Sent them another email on 21 Dec 2018 and asked them to explain why they deducted the amount. . Got an email back today 07 Jan 2019 with a statement showing it was rebate. Conveniently answering on a fresh email so that the chain mail does not reflect.

There emails will never have a name of a person or telephone number you can contact back. You can call there numbers or email to the Customer care line. A real person with a face and heart will not help you. This has been my experience with this company.

The only time you get a regular call back from them is when a salesman is trying to sell you a loan. The moment you get a problem; its electronic automated emails sent by machines. You will not get hold of a person. And they say they will call you. They have done that once .. Well done Nomtha.. Ps because i know you cannot get hold of an individual there; I asked Nomtha to give me her email address. She reluctantly gave it to me. They closed your email shortly after.
