Direct Marketing opt-out not functional
I'm having a very frustrating experience with spam SMS's. I've "opted out" on many occasions, but the spam just keep coming in, from different numbers. This is in violation of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act.
The latest SMS refers to the following (unsecured) site http://www.opt-out.co/1439 prompting you to enter your number, however this does not work, even using multiple browsers. It simply returns an "Error Loading Page".
By not providing a working means of opting out this is clearly a violation of both section 45(1) of the ECTA and/or section 69(4) of the POPIA.
I would like to know what DirectAxis intend on doing to rectify this issue. Note that I will not let this matter stand and are willing to take it further on principle. I await your reply.
Hello, apologies, this isn't the experience we aim to provide. It is possible it was a momentary break or one character fell away. We've tested the url and it is working now.
