Direct Axis ************ loan sharks

I had the misfortune of needing a personal loan and took up an offer with Direct Axis, I entered into an agreement where the payment due date was stipulated on my payday being 25th each month. A while back the 25th fell on a Saturday and on the 24th(Friday) I had transferred funds into my account to pay a utility bill which I needed to withdraw cash for, on route to the bank to withdraw the funds I saw a notification from my bank that advised that Direct Axis had processed their debit order a day early. Due to the urgency of the situation with the utility bill I immediately requested my bank to reverse the transaction so I had access to the required funds. The next morning the 25th when my salary reflected I did an immediate eft payment to direct axis. The company took it upon themselves to charge me a reversal fee and have added interest and compounded Interest u til this point that the “ arrears “ is half my installment! They have not stopped harassing me since 1/1/20 with sms and calls. Today a consultant called AGAIN and I tried to explain my side of the issue and all she could say was “ when am I paying the “ arrears”? This early debit is in contravention to my rights as a consumer and added to that the fact that they are compounding interest on something that I am not liable for. This serves as a warning to anyone requiring a loan to avoid Direct Axis as they are nothing short of loan sharks, I will never recommend them to anyone no matter how desperate one may be. Lastly FNB should distance themselves from this company is they have one iota of credibility.
