Direct Axis Settlement amount taking forever to respond...

I have had my loan account since 2017, after covid I defaulted and account went months into areas. I made an arrangement and kept up to it for a few years. In Dec 2023 I was offered by sms from Direct Axis a discount of more than 50% from my balance being over R50k + to a settlement amount of R21200. I didn't have the money then so didn't take up the offer. But in Jan 2024 I tried to contact Direct Axis and GL Attorneys whom my account was handed over too. I tried to get that same of from Dec as I was to receive an inheritance of R20k and I wanted to settle this account. I offered it to GL Attorneys who said they can only go as low as R28500. We went back and forth for weeks and till today now proper feed back has been received. I even offered up ti R24k to settle and still it's taking weeks to get an answer. But let me be late with the R200 arrangement I made, they will call me countless times for that but here I am trying to close this account but they don't seem to want me too. My offer is now R20k to settle and close this account.
