Direct axis personal protection plan in a disappointment

I took a loan with direct Axis in 2019 around June, in the process of taking that loan I was offered a personal loan protection plan. As far as I know protection plan is supposed to help you in times of need in the unfortunate events of life. I got retrenched in December and claimed for the protection plan. Indeed they started paying my claim but after 6 months of still being unemployed I had to go back and report that I was still unemployed for the Cover to continue paying my installments. I did report. After 12 months of unemployment I went back and informed them that I am still unemployed, therefore it will still be difficult for me to resume and pay my loan as I can't make ends meet even with maintaining my own children, I was advised that It was not their problem and their assistance stops there regardless of my situation being explained to them. Now as unemployed as I am I am being harassed by them calling me every day asking for payment that I am not able to adhere to. So my concern is how does a loan protection plan leave you in the midst of your financial complications instead of being a relief? It took African banks 3 months to clear my name from the credit I had with them but direct axis still harrases their poor unemployed clients? Please help
