I have put through a loss of income claim as I was retrenched. After waiting 1 month to get confirmation, I was told that I would be covered against my loan installments for 12 months provided I am still unemployed. My installments were paid for the first month and then I was debited on the second month. I phoned through on the 01st of February 2021 and was told my funds would be refunded to me within 10day. Today is the 16th of February and I have not received my refund or any correspondence from Direct Axis. When I try and call their call centre number after waiting for 2mins you get told by a voice prompt that due to high call volumes they cannot attend to my call. This service is terrible as I am currently not working and not even collecting UIF as they are backlogged also.
