This weekend I received a Direct Axis Black card that was delivered to my parents new postal address. I don't know how they got that address as it's less than a month old. (I don't have a residential or postal address in SA)

Today a lady from DA phones me to say I just emailed them my ID number and they want to offer me a loan. Firstly, I never email them any information - and I would never email someone my ID number. Secondly, I'm on the National Opt out database so they should dedup against me anyway.

She said she couldn't tell me how they got my ID number or my contact details. She then put me on hold for 15 minutes before the line went dead. Come on guys. There is something really fishy going on here.

They seem to be getting information ********ly and then don't even go through the proper channels. Really disappointed in this company. Is this a ****? Has anyone else had their personal information leaked and can I take legal action against them?

PS I don't have any debt, I don't bank with FNB, I've never financed a car or taken any type of loan so how does someone like me get my information leaked to these sorry sacks.?
Best regards,
