Debit Order Drama, Lack of Accountability and No Feedback to Client

Hi Direct Axis,

I continuously follow up with you guys but getting no response what so ever, instead I get endless calls from your collections center whereby I have to repeat the same story over and over, this is really unbecoming.

Can you have a person who has investigated my case contact me regarding feedback? The first lady who contacted me and **** to me by saying after investigating she will call back to provide her findings, her name is Celste and attached are recordings of a few people I’ve spoken to from Direct Axis and I’m getting really irritated by all of this.

Attached on this e-mail are call recordings between myself and Direct Axis representatives.

- Celeste called to find out specifics of the issue then she said she will investigate on her side and provide me feedback on the same day which she never did (empty broken promise) 28-12-2016.

- Robert called to inform me that my account is in arrears then I had to tell the story again of what had happened and that Celeste is investigating the issue and shall provide feedback. I asked Robert to make a note so that no one else calls me until such time proper feedback is received from Celeste (I’m still receiving calls).

- Malisa called to inform me that my account is in arrears then I had to tell the story again, he seemed to understand the situation and after a long chat he then said given the info I supp**** him then Direct Axis will have to waive the collection charge and also minus the R150 charge from ABSA given I provide a statement indicating the transaction being returned as unpaid. I did all that was required, however no one is giving me feedback, instead I’m being harassed by calls informing me that my account is in arrears.

All supporting docs have been attached to this mail, please urgently have a look at this and provide tangible feedback so to move forward.

Awaiting your prompt feedback, thanks.

From: Ndumiso Kabini
Sent: Monday, January 09, 2017 10:13 AM
To: ********** ********** />Importance: High

Good day,

As per our telephone conversation, please find attached ABSA Bank charge statement depicting the returned debit order of R721.39 Admin Charge R150.00 on date 23/12/2016.

1. Please refer to Direct Axis memo-lines as per last call received from Direct Axis. The call center collection agent confirmed that once I send proof that a charge from Absa has been invoked due to Direct Axis debiting the incorrect account, Direct Axis will waive the collection charge and also deduct the R150 return debit order charge suffered due to error from Direct Axis debit order.

2. Please also refer to the attached Absa.pdf statement that shows that the amount was deposited into the incorrect account instead of being deposited to my FNB account as agreed upon with the loan agent. I also suffered a loss as the account the funds got deposited in was in a negative and subsequently the loan amount got deductions and I could no longer use the money for the original intent as the money was now short. Money was deposited on the 30th of Nov 2016 and I lost R823.44 because of the error made by Direct Axis.

Please advise on the way to remedy the complaint, await your confirmation that the above is in order, thanks.

From: Ndumiso Kabini
Sent: Friday, December 23, 2016 11:51 AM
To: ********** ********** />Importance: High

Good day,

I’m extremely frustrated with Direct Axis at this point as on two occasions you’ve made errors on my specific requests.

Firstly, when I app**** for this loan, I advised that the funds must be deposited to my FNB account: *********0094 as I was no longer using the Absa bank account, however, Direct Axis still deposited to the incorrect account resulting me in losing about R800 from the entire transaction (the entire loan amount became useless as it was now short). I sent an email to Direct Axis and till this day, no one has come with a response and apologies for my losses.

Secondly, Direct Axis is supposed to debit my FNB account, however, today I get a shock, Absa sends me a reminder that I should fund my account as there’s an outstanding debit order that supposed to go off from Direct Axis. A returned debit order has a charge of R150.00 and also has an impact on my ITC.

Who is going to take responsibility for the points I’ve mentioned above? How will you fix my ITC score seeing that the debit order will definitely return as unpaid? Who will pay Absa the charge of R150.00 for the returned debit order?

I certainly hope someone at Direct Axis is looking into this issue as a matter of urgency as I will take this matter further as my ITC profile is getting a negative knock because of someone at Direct Axis who didn’t do their jobs in a professional manner.

Thanks for finally sorting this mess up, although I still have my account as "in arrears" due to a fault caused by you guys... Now I'm forced to make an arrangement to make extra payments to out the account back on track instead of you extending the period by one month. I'm not completely happy but I'm very tired of the long period and process it took to even get this far.
