Deal with these ********* loan sharks at your peril!

I called DirectAxis last week in a bid to stop them from constantly harassing me with marketing smses despite my never having been a client or applying to them. I was angry as they have repeatedly ignored my sms requests to "Opt out" and asked to speak to a supervisor. The consultant Ziyaad Sulaiman kept me on hold for 12 minutes before hanging up on me. I called back, now furious and spoke to Zaheer Mohammed where I explained my frustration and that I would never consider dealing with a company that was ********* enough to charge a 28% interest rate to desperate people. I was told that "28% interest was only high in my opinion" and "African bank charge even higher rates". I was incredibly angry at this statement, and requested a supervisor call me back which was ignored. I also requested recordings of my calls so that I can submit this case to the Financial Ombudsman - a request that has also been ignored. As this is not the behaviour one would expect from a reputable Financial Services provider - one has to conclude that DirectAxis is simply loan sharking on a grand scale and swindling desperate people out of their money!

Hello, we've made sure that you won't receive any future promotions, however due to our scheduling process, you may receive one or two more letters in the post, but these will be the very last. Emails and SMSs will stop from next week. We’re sorry to see you go – if you do require our services in future, keep us in mind.

I can also use the copy and paste function (see DirectAxis' response to other complaint about harassment). Where are the copies of my calls that I requested? Where is the call from a supervisor? What about your official stance that 28% is actually a fair interest rate to charge? Evidently, I have to take this further and I truly look forward to seeing how Mark Finlayson can justify exploiting the poor and desperate. See you at the Financial Ombudsman!
