I spoke to a consultant at directaxis on Thurday 17 November 2016 to make a loan of R10,000 And was asked to send proof of residence and copy of ID but instead of sending those documents, I sent a letter to Nicky Hill stating that I will no longer be taking the loan as the repayments are too high. I then received an sms that said my application was successful and I called twice to say that I would not be taking the loan and was told that a supervisor would be contacting me and no one called back. I called again on Friday and spoke to Mahier who gave me the account number to send back the funds which I did immediately. I have been trying to call Direct axis for the past 2 days and I get no response, I would like for someone to explain why Directaxis think I owe them R4,800 for a service I had cancelled and they ignored my canceling and insisted on paying out without even the proper documentation. I will take up this matter with credit ombudsman.
