Bond cancellation

I took a personal loan with Direct Axis in 2015, apparently my bond was attached as security. That loan was paid off in 2 years but the bond never got removed as third party. I just lost my job and want to pay off and close my bond only to be told by Standard bank attorneys that theres a R52k loan attached to my bond therefore it cannot be closed. I phoned Direct Axis and spoke to Sisonke who told me he sent an email to the relevant department and they'll send communication about the way forward. It's been over 3 weeks now, no communication whatsoever! I still cant get my bond closed!
