Approved loan amount dropped

I contacted them for a debt consolidation loan. I requested an amount which was approved. The consultant even told me how much of the loan will be used to pay off the current loan and what amount will be paid into my bank account. Nicky Hill was the lady I spoke to. She was fantastic.

She transferred me to the contracts department who suddenly tells me that the loan amount approved is no longer what I asked for but R29000.00 less. This lady was very arrogant and was totally uninterested in what I said in that the larger loan was approved and not the smaller amount.

What on earth is going on there. Approval for an amount and suddenly a smaller amount. Looks like they entice you with the large amount and then only offers you a small amount.
